Organizers have officially announced the 4th Kingdom Cyber Security Meeting in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement announcing the event, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences Professor Dr. Taghreed Justinia laid out the unique security situation the country faces, noting that Saudi Arabia has “a uniquely vast geography of cities still distinctly separated and still under development,” while also seeing “rapidly developing urbanisation projects” and possessing “an advanced and reliable telecommunications infrastructure”. With the emergence of increasingly connected smart city systems, “it is necessary to focus on securing the infrastructure and data.”
That theme, among others — cloud and mobile security, social media and big data, disaster recovery — will be a key focus of the event, which will feature over 20 speakers. It will also include debate sessions, live technology demos, and peer-led best practice guidance sessions.
The 4th Kingdom Cyber Security Meeting will run from April 18th to 19th, and will be held at Riyadh’s Mövenpick Hotel.
