Precise Biometrics technology is helping to power the biometric capabilities of new devices from China-based smartphone maker 360. The Q5 and Q5+ both feature fingerprint sensors running the company’s Precise BioMatch Mobile algorithm software.
It’s another integration to arrive with the help of longtime hardware partner Fingerprint Cards, whose FPC1035 fingerprint sensor is being used in each of 360’s new models. 360 has used FPC fingerprint sensors in multiple smartphones since the brand made its debut earlier this year.
These latest integration should help to further buoy Precise Biometrics via its steady stream of revenues from the mobile biometrics market. In its most recent corporate update, Precise Biometrics’ CEO Håkan Persson pointed out that his company’s technology had been used in 40 mobile devices and laptops during the second quarter of this year, and asserted that strong growth in this market should bring further opportunities for the company, both in the near and long term.
