VSBLTY has formed a strategic partnership with Teralight. Together, the two companies will deliver smart city applications with built-in analytics technology.
Teralight is a Vancouver-based company that provides a variety of software services for governments and mobile network operators. The company currently has customers all over the world, with a strong focus on Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa, though it is hoping that the new partnership will allow it to expand its profile in the Americas. In that regard, CEO Melanie Salvador indicated that the deal will make it easier to create custom product packages that better meet the needs of their clients.
“With the advent of 5G and Wi-Fi 6, the demand for artificial narrow intelligence, specifically video surveillance with smart analytics, is leading the way. VSBLTY offers a unique service which we intend to develop into a suite of hosted service offerings, bundled or à la carte, to our customers,” explained Salvador.
“Our products allow carriers to cost-effectively deploy new services from shared infrastructure in a highly competitive and scalable way,” added VSBLTY Co-Founder and CEO Jay Hutton.
VSBLTY, of course, is best known for its computer vision and crowd analytics portfolio, which now includes facial recognition and thermal screening technology. The company has numerous partners in the retail industry, and recently teamed up with UST Global to extend its reach internationally.
VSBLTY has also provided surveillance technology for a smart city program in Mexico City.
