” …Verint says [FaceDetect] exceed human capabilities. Verint FaceDetect can operate on up to 10 cameras per GPU, processing video feeds from any IP camera.”
Verint Systems has launched a new facial recognition solution designed to work with enterprise infrastructure.
Called Verint FaceDetect, the system uses GPU-based deep learning based on neural networks to enable sophisticated facial recognition that Verint says can exceed human capabilities. Verint FaceDetect can operate on up to 10 cameras per GPU, processing video feeds from any IP camera.
In a statement announcing the solution, Verint explained that it’s specifically designed for “real-world environments with heavy traffic and diverse populations”. The company also asserted that Verint FaceDetect “features both real-time and forensic comparison capabilities against large databases with millions of faces,” and that it allows administrators to instantly add individuals to watch lists.
The solution’s announcement comes alongside upgrades to its Situational Awareness Platform and its Enterprise Video Management solutions. And with a growing number of organizations looking to facial recognition for sophisticated security, Verint FaceDetect could prove to be a popular component of its solutions portfolio.
