Veridas, a provider of biometric identity verification solutions, has appointed Anders Hartington as Regional Leader for Brazil and the Southern Cone, strengthening the company’s presence in Latin America. The move supports Veridas’ strategy to expand adoption of its identity verification technologies across the region.
Hartington brings over 20 years of global leadership experience in the industry. “After 20 years in this industry, I’ve seen what works — and Veridas sets the bar,” he said. “Our platform doesn’t just verify identities — it enables businesses to move faster, stay safer, and deliver better digital experiences.”
This appointment follows Veridas’ recent expansion into North America and strategic hires in Europe. In Latin America, the company has deployed biometric access systems at River Plate’s Monumental Stadium in Argentina and provided identity verification services for the ANFP in Chile, demonstrating its ability to deliver large-scale solutions in high-traffic environments.
Eduardo Azanza, CEO of Veridas, noted the region’s momentum: Brazil and the Southern Cone “are no longer emerging markets — they’re markets in motion. Anders brings the vision and operational strength to scale what we’ve already built. We’re not starting from scratch — we’re building from momentum.”
Company Background and Platform Capabilities
Founded in 2017 as a joint venture between BBVA and das-Nano, Veridas offers a full suite of biometric and identity verification technologies. These include facial and voice biometrics, document verification, and passkey-based access solutions, all designed to meet stringent privacy and regulatory standards.
Veridas recently expanded its reach by launching its Identity Verification platform on Google Cloud Marketplace. The platform enables organizations to verify identities quickly and securely, supporting both digital onboarding and physical access scenarios.
