Veratad Technologies has partnered with Trinsic to expand the reach of Veratad’s IDMax reusable identity acceptance network within its Veratad VX orchestration platform.
Veratad says the integration provides access to more than one billion additional digital identities through Trinsic’s ecosystem of credential issuers and networks. The partnership adds coverage across more than 50 identity networks, with examples including Nordic bank IDs, mobile driver’s licenses stored in native wallets, and European electronic identities.
IDMax, which launched on February 1, 2024, is a reusable identity acceptance capability rather than a credential itself. The service allows verifiers to accept third-party digital credentials alongside other identity verification methods through a single integration point. Veratad lists existing integrations with providers such as CLEAR, Plaid, and Signzy, among others.
Trinsic operates as a credential ecosystem aggregator, connecting organizations to multiple issuing authorities and identity networks. Through the partnership, Veratad VX users can accept credentials from Trinsic-connected sources without building individual integrations for each issuer or scheme. Trinsic states that the combined reach extends to identity systems in approximately 30 additional countries.
Veratad emphasizes its role as an independent orchestration layer, with VX managing how different identity methods are selected, evaluated, and combined for regulated use cases. While the announcement references biometrics as one of several verification options supported within VX, the primary focus of the partnership is on expanding acceptance of reusable credentials.
The partnership reflects continued growth in reusable identity models, where verifiers seek to reduce repeated identity proofing by accepting credentials previously issued by trusted sources. For orchestration providers, the value proposition lies in aggregating diverse credential ecosystems behind a consistent policy and compliance layer.
