Blockchain data storage firm Serenity and U.S.-based fintech company Zoniqx have announced a strategic partnership to launch a biometric-secured tokenization platform in the United Arab Emirates. The collaboration aims to set new standards for secure and compliant digital asset solutions while bridging U.S. and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.
The initiative builds on Serenity’s previous biometric security offerings, including its sAxess biometric wallet solution, which supports password-free authentication for crypto users. The new platform will integrate advanced biometric authentication to protect transactions and access for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), such as real estate and commodities.
According to the official announcement, the partnership is designed to create “a secure, compliant, and scalable digital asset ecosystem” that caters to institutional and cross-border investment. This would line up with broader regulatory and technological developments in the UAE, which has expanded investment in biometric technologies across sectors including travel, payments, and fintech.
“Our partnership with Serenity brings together Zoniqx’s proven compliance and liquidity rails with next-gen identity protocols to build trust and utility for tokenized assets at scale,” said Zoniqx CEO Prasanth Kalangi. “This pilot is not a one-off initiative—it’s part of a larger global expansion where we’re launching dynamic tokenization environments across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.”
The project will focus on tokenizing a range of real-world assets while maintaining strict regulatory compliance. It reflects the UAE’s ambition to become a leading global hub for fintech innovation and builds on the country’s earlier deployments of blockchain-based identity and finance solutions.
While no exact valuation has been confirmed, both companies are framing the effort within what they describe as the “next trillion-dollar tokenization wave,” a term frequently used in project branding and marketing materials to signal anticipated market growth.
