Token has appointed Dianne Liu as Vice President of Marketing, adding a cybersecurity and SaaS growth executive as the company expands go-to-market work around TokenCore, its biometric identity assurance platform.
Liu will lead Token’s marketing organization and focus on demand generation, market positioning, and category development for TokenCore. The company describes TokenCore as a platform that binds access to a verified, physically present human through on-device biometric authentication, secure hardware, and cryptographic keys that are generated on-device and are not exported.
The appointment follows Token’s launch of TokenCore Node, a compact biometric authenticator designed for environments that require local cryptographic processing, no cloud dependency, and support for air-gapped deployments. Token says the broader TokenCore line includes wearable, portable, and node-based authenticators that integrate with existing identity and access management, single sign-on, and privileged access management systems.
Liu previously led marketing at TechMD and 1nteger Security, a managed IT and cybersecurity business acquired by Integris. She has also held leadership roles at ZAGENO, Pettable, and Jobcase, with experience in demand generation, account-based marketing, and revenue operations.
Token CEO Kevin Surace said Liu’s role will be to translate the company’s technical approach into market adoption as enterprises respond to credential compromise, phishing, deepfake-enabled social engineering, and MFA bypass risks. The company positions biometric identity assurance as a way to make stolen credentials less useful by tying authentication to a human user, a local biometric check, and a hardware-protected cryptographic credential.
The company’s technical pitch is aimed at enterprises that want to keep their existing IAM, SSO, and PAM tools while adding stronger proof that the person requesting access is physically present. Token says fingerprints remain on the device and cryptographic keys are generated locally, reducing the value of stolen passwords, session tokens, or replayed credentials.
Token is backed by Grand Oaks Capital, the investment firm founded by Paychex founder B. Thomas Golisano. Grand Oaks has committed more than $43 million to the company.
The move comes as identity vendors are extending authentication beyond conventional MFA. WinMagic recently launched Live Key and LIT to add identity assurance beyond passkey login, while banks and enterprise platforms continue to redesign authentication workflows around verified identity rather than credentials alone.
