iProov has announced that UK legal and property ID platform Thirdfort has deployed iProov Dynamic Liveness within its client due diligence platform to protect high-value property transactions from identity fraud. Thirdfort serves more than 1,500 regulated businesses in the UK legal and property sectors, providing ID verification and anti-money laundering checks for processes such as conveyancing and tenancy onboarding.
The companies say the integration is aimed at combating what they describe as a £1.6 billion slice of the UK’s total £2.3 billion fraud losses attributed to property-related identity fraud, citing figures from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Thirdfort’s platform combines high-assurance identity verification with AML checks including Source of Funds, politically exposed person (PEP) and sanctions screening, and Know-Your-Business verification.
Within this workflow, iProov Dynamic Liveness is used during biometric identity verification in Thirdfort’s digital identity app to confirm that the user is a real, present person rather than a deepfake, mask, or injected digital feed. The deployment is positioned as a defense against AI-enabled attacks such as synthetic identities and video injection, while maintaining a low-friction experience for legitimate buyers, sellers, tenants, and other participants who can verify once and reuse their identity across the transaction lifecycle.
