Suprema has announced the launch of two new devices aimed at expanding its Access Control Unit (ACU) lineup: the CoreStation 20 (CS-20) and the Door Interface (DI-24) module. The new offerings are designed to enhance security, improve scalability, and simplify deployment for facilities ranging from small offices to large enterprise environments.
The CS-20 is a compact, RFID-only controller that supports up to 500,000 users and features native PoE+ and encrypted communication for secure and efficient installations. The DI-24 module is engineered to support two doors and four readers, streamlining wiring and offering reliable operation even in the absence of a live network connection.
The updates build on Suprema’s existing ACU portfolio, which includes the flagship CoreStation (CS-40), a controller designed for high-security applications with built-in biometric matching capabilities. With the introduction of the CS-20, Suprema is offering a lighter-weight alternative for customers focused on RFID-based deployments while maintaining a high level of performance and flexibility.
“The launch of CoreStation 20 and Door Interface has further strengthened the scalability and flexibility of Suprema’s access control system,” said Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema Inc. “These additions enable system designs tailored to a wide range of customer environments, while reducing installation costs, reinforcing security through encrypted communication, and ensuring stable operation, even during unexpected events such as power outages.”
The modularity of Suprema’s ACU products allows for deployment across centralized architectures suited for large facilities and distributed setups that benefit smaller installations. In addition to reducing deployment times and costs through cable reuse and simplified installation, the new devices also reinforce Suprema’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure resilience and cost-effective upgrades.
This latest development follows Suprema’s recent product innovations, including the launch of BioStar Air, a cloud-native access control platform, and the BioStar 2 VMS, which recently earned first-level Good Software certification for its AI-enhanced video and access monitoring capabilities.
