Sumsub has announced the expansion of its Non-Doc Identity Verification solution to Norway and Denmark, extending its reach to over 2.9 billion people across four continents, including Africa, Eurasia, North America, and South America.
The Non-Doc solution can onboard users in as little as 4.5 seconds on average, Sumsub says, while effectively preventing fraud and ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations. It uses authoritative sources like government databases and bank-provided credit account information to facilitate secure and compliant user onboarding. It’s an approach that is particularly beneficial in developing economies, where poor-quality or non-existent paper documents have historically hindered access to digital services.
Sumsub’s document-free onboarding process involves users providing relevant identity data, which is then verified through biometric or device authentication. This process quickly generates a complete applicant profile enriched with reliable data. The solution can be applied at multiple points along the user journey, from initial onboarding to continuous monitoring. Moreover, the new Non-Doc Address Verification feature verifies users’ addresses using secure databases, further enhancing the verification process.
“Non-Doc is the future of global identity verification simply because it allows businesses to securely onboard legitimate users, no matter their country of origin–making lightning-fast verification with no hurdles a reality,” asserted Vyacheslav Zholudev, Sumsub’s CTO and co-founder.
The solution currently supports 13 countries, with plans to expand to Hong Kong and Ivory Coast, covering over 95% of the populations in these regions.
Sumsub recently detailed its four key fraud threats of 2024 – and how to guard against them – in a blog post authored by Pavel Goldman-Kalaydin, the company’s Head of AI & ML.
