SLC Digital and Tracer Labs Partner to Combine SIM-Backed Authentication With Unified Identity Layer

SLC Digital and Tracer Labs have announced a strategic partnership to combine SLC’s hardware-rooted SIM-based identity authentication with Tracer Labs’ Trust ID platform – a unified identity and consent layer designed to recognize verified users automatically across the web, enterprise applications, and AI agent environments.

The partnership brings together two complementary approaches to portable digital identity. SLC Digital anchors identity verification to the physical SIM or eSIM embedded in a user’s mobile device, providing a hardware root of trust that eliminates vulnerabilities inherent in software-based authentication methods such as SMS one-time passwords or app-based authenticators. The company has integrated with the GSMA Device Check infrastructure, enabling it to leverage the GSMA Block List for device-level fraud prevention and regulatory compliance across mobile operators and digital platforms.

Tracer Labs’ Trust ID platform functions as a single identity and consent layer: once a user is verified, Trust ID recognizes that user and carries their preferences and permissions across websites, enterprise systems, and AI agent interactions – removing the need for per-session re-verification. The platform is designed to serve consumers, enterprises, and AI agents, positioning itself as an infrastructure layer for continuous, portable authentication.

The combined offering targets demand for portable, hardware-verified digital identity across financial services, enterprise access management, and emerging AI agent authorization use cases. As AI agents become increasingly embedded in business workflows, the ability to pass verified human identity to downstream systems without requiring repeated authentication has emerged as a key design challenge. The SLC–Tracer Labs partnership addresses that by combining physical device-level trust with a software-layer identity assertion framework.
