Signicat and Markaaz Partner to Bring Global SMB Business Intelligence into KYB Orchestration

Signicat has announced a strategic partnership with Markaaz to strengthen small and medium-sized business (SMB) verification and onboarding on its Digital Identity and Orchestration Platform. In a December 3, 2025 press release, Signicat describes itself as Europe’s leading provider of digital identity and fraud prevention solutions and characterizes Markaaz as a global business identity and intelligence platform. The partnership embeds Markaaz’s continuously verified business data directly into Signicat’s orchestration workflows for Know-Your-Business (KYB), onboarding, and continuous monitoring.

Under the agreement, Markaaz’s global business database is integrated into Signicat’s platform to provide detailed entity profiles, ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) information, and firmographic insights. The combined offering is designed to automate KYB verification, streamline business onboarding, and support dynamic risk monitoring across international markets. Signicat positions this as an extension of its orchestration capabilities, enabling a single decisioning layer for both individual and business identities.

The integration is aimed at financial institutions and enterprises that need to reduce friction and fraud risk in SMB onboarding. According to the announcement, the collaboration will allow customers to reduce onboarding delays through pre-verified Markaaz data in Signicat’s InstantKYB workflows, enable risk-based decisioning with automated UBO identification and continuous data refresh, and improve fraud and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance by combining Signicat’s orchestration engine with Markaaz’s real-time global entity data.

Markaaz markets itself as a global business identity platform with a directory of around 542 million business records across more than 200 countries and jurisdictions, enriched by hundreds of attributes per entity. Its API-delivered data is oriented toward verification, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring. By bringing that dataset into Signicat’s decisioning flows, the partnership effectively gives Signicat customers access to a pre-verified global business directory as part of their standard KYB tooling.

In statements included with the release, Signicat’s Chief Product Officer, Pinar Alpay, says the integration extends Signicat’s vision of orchestrated identity and risk management by strengthening its decisioning foundation for both individuals and businesses. Markaaz EVP of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, Lansing Gatrell, frames the collaboration as expanding Markaaz’s reach across supply-chain ecosystems and strengthening lifecycle business decisioning for Signicat customers, from onboarding through continuous monitoring.

The partnership highlights the growing convergence of identity verification, KYB, and continuous risk intelligence for SMB onboarding. It also reflects a broader industry trend in which orchestration platforms are pulling in specialized data providers to deliver end-to-end identity and fraud controls in a single, configurable workflow layer.
