ServiceNow has agreed to acquire Veza, an authorization platform that focuses on identity security and access governance across SaaS, data, and infrastructure. Veza, founded in 2019, aggregates authorization data from applications, cloud platforms, and data systems to give security and identity teams a detailed view of who has access to what and to support least-privilege access decisions.
Under the terms announced, Veza will become part of ServiceNow’s portfolio, with its technology expected to enhance identity and access capabilities in the Now Platform by bringing granular authorization intelligence into ServiceNow workflows. The companies say the combination is intended to help customers reduce identity-related risk by unifying access reviews, entitlement analysis, and remediation actions in a single operational system of record. Deal terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close subject to customary regulatory approvals and conditions.
Veza’s platform currently maps permissions and entitlements across cloud infrastructure, SaaS, data platforms, and directories, providing activity-aware views that can be used to identify over-privileged accounts, toxic combinations of access, and dormant high-risk permissions. ServiceNow indicates that this authorization-level visibility will be used to automate access governance tasks and feed risk context into existing security and IT workflows.
