RYT Launches New Blockchain Platform Targeting Digital ID and National Currency Applications

RYT has launched a new Layer-1 blockchain platform designed for digital identity systems, national digital currencies, and financial inclusion initiatives. The platform features a new Proof of Majority (PoM) consensus mechanism to help overcome common blockchain adoption challenges.

The platform’s streamlined architecture allows operation on smartphones and other low-powered devices, while consuming less energy than traditional Proof of Work systems. For enhanced security, the system can temporarily blacklist nodes that generate non-conforming blocks.

RYT will implement its first major project in 2025 through a partnership with a Pakistani community-based savings platform. This deployment aims to strengthen informal financial networks by creating transparent, permanent transaction records.

The company is led by CEO Steve Durbin, a former JP Morgan executive, alongside Chief Architect Jeff Mahony and COO AbdulQadir. Their combined expertise in traditional finance and regulatory compliance positions RYT to effectively navigate blockchain’s complex regulatory environment.

The company reports ongoing discussions with multiple governments about national digital currencies and identification systems, with new partnerships to be announced later this year. RYT maintains its focus on regulatory compliance and responsible development across these initiatives.
