rf IDEAS Earns Apple Certification for WAVE ID Readers Supporting Mobile Credentials

rf IDEAS has received its fourth Apple certification for secure authentication hardware, adding support for employee badge credentials stored in Apple Wallet. The newly certified devices – WAVE ID Plus Mini and WAVE ID SP Plus – can now be used to streamline identity verification across multiple enterprise and campus applications.

The certification enables seamless authentication for Apple device users in environments such as secure printing, computer logon, time and attendance tracking, and physical access control. By leveraging Apple Wallet credentials, organizations can reduce reliance on physical access cards while enhancing security through mobile-based authentication.

“We are committed to providing the most seamless solutions as companies invest in mobile migration for secure authentication,” said Raul Cepeda Jr., Vice-President of Product & Marketing at rf IDEAS.

These Apple-certified readers are now listed by Apple as certified accessories, positioning them for deployment in growing markets where mobile access credentials are gaining traction. The certification arrives amid a surge in support for digital ID integration, with Apple Wallet now accommodating government-issued IDs in several U.S. states and countries like Japan expanding support internationally.

This latest milestone follows rf IDEAS’ recent strategic initiatives to enhance its identity and security offerings through technology integrations and partnerships. As mobile credential adoption accelerates across sectors, the latest certifications help to ensure that rf IDEAS is positioned to meet enterprise demand for secure, contactless access solutions.
