Precise Biometrics Launches On-Premises Access Control for High-security Sectors

Precise Biometrics has unveiled a new fully on-premises biometric access control solution targeting high-security industries like defense, critical infrastructure, and government agencies. The system allows organizations to maintain complete control over their biometric data and access systems within their own secure IT environments.Glowing padlock icon surrounded by abstract digital grid lines and particles, representing the concept of cybersecurity and data protection.

The new offering expands Precise’s existing physical access control portfolio, which has seen significant growth since their 2021 acquisition of EastCoast Solutions. The system supports both facial authentication and palm recognition capabilities, while giving organizations the flexibility to choose between on-premises or cloud-based deployment options.

“With today’s security climate and the rapid advancement of AI fueling cyber threats, the demand for robust physical security solutions is greater than ever,” said Joakim Nydemark, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “We are proud to expand our biometric access portfolio with a fully on-premises offering, ensuring that organizations in high-security sectors can deploy our technology with the highest level of control – meeting their strict security and compliance requirements without compromise.”

The launch comes as Precise continues to expand its presence in physical security markets, following recent implementations like its biometric authentication technology in Xiaomi’s smart safe boxes. The company has demonstrated consistent growth in access control solutions, previously deploying their YOUNiQ facial recognition system at Clarkson University and other institutional clients.

The new on-premises solution is aimed at addressing growing concerns among high-security organizations about data sovereignty and control, particularly in sectors where maintaining strict security protocols is paramount. By keeping all biometric data and processing within an organization’s own infrastructure, the system provides an additional layer of security while meeting stringent compliance requirements.
