Pimloc, the UK-based AI video privacy company behind the Secure Redact platform, has appointed Leanne Moorhouse as Public Safety Lead, bringing more than two decades of frontline policing experience and direct involvement in shaping national body-worn video policy into the company.
Moorhouse previously served as the National Police Chiefs’ Council’s Body-Worn Video Subject Matter Expert, a role in which she led the UK’s national body-worn video strategy and authored governance guidance that has been adopted by police forces across the country. Her career spans operational policing and policy development, giving her direct insight into how body-worn camera systems are procured, deployed, managed, and evaluated in real-world law enforcement environments across the UK.
Pimloc develops Secure Redact, an AI platform designed to automatically detect and redact personal data in video footage from body-worn cameras, CCTV, and in-vehicle dash cameras. The platform processes both visual and audio data, identifying and removing faces, number plates, and spoken personal information across large volumes of footage. It is positioned as a compliance and data protection tool for law enforcement agencies, local authorities, and other organizations required to handle sensitive video at scale while remaining within data protection frameworks.
Moorhouse’s appointment signals a deliberate push by Pimloc into the public safety market, adding someone with deep frontline experience to a team focused on the technology layer. Her presence addresses a gap that vendors in the policing technology space frequently struggle to close: the distance between engineering capability and the governance realities that determine how forces can use AI-processed footage in operational practice.
Body-worn video has expanded significantly across UK policing over the past decade, and with that growth has come increasing regulatory pressure around how footage is stored, shared, and redacted to protect individual privacy. Pimloc’s Secure Redact platform has been recognized for its approach to video anonymization through facial de-recognition, a capability that sits directly within Moorhouse’s area of policy expertise.
