Control iD has partnered with Paravision to launch the iDFace Max, a state-of-the-art access control system featuring advanced facial identification technology.
The iDFace Max leverages Paravision’s AI capabilities to deliver high-accuracy facial recognition and authentication, ensuring secure and seamless entry for authorized individuals, even in challenging conditions and when subjects’ faces are obscured by masks and other apparel.
The device features two 1080p Full HD cameras, a 7-inch touchscreen display, and multiple connectivity options for versatile installation; and its embedded web software allows for easy management of access rules, monitoring of entries and exits, and the generation of detailed reports.
“The integration of Paravision’s face identification technology into our new iDFace Max system represents a significant leap forward not just for us but for the entire access control industry,” said Control iD President Albert Nissimoff. “This collaboration is all about blending high performing technology with practical applications to meet the evolving security needs of our customers.”
This joint effort represents a notable development in access control technology by integrating Control iD’s proficiency in access management with Paravision’s robust AI toolsets. The iDFace Max supports customizable access rules based on groups and schedules, offering improved control over facility access.
What’s more, Paravision’s recent optimization of its AI models for embedded applications enables the deployment of cost-effective, high-performance face recognition solutions across various platforms, enhancing the functionality of the iDFace Max system.
“We continuously strive to make our industry-leading AI technologies accessible across various computing platforms and use cases,” said Stuart Lieblich, Paravision’s SVP of Business Development. “Partnering with Control iD has allowed us to apply our technology in new, dynamic ways to benefit a broader audience.”
The joint offering marks the latest in a series of high profile partnerships for Paravision, including last year’s announcement that it would be working with Persona on an “age estimation and verification” tool, and one from earlier this year that saw the company partner with Hailo, a chipmaker specializing in edge device applications. That agreement revolved around bringing Paravision’s facial recognition technology to Hailo’s processors.
Earlier this year, Paravision also announced the launch of its own age estimation tool based on face biometrics, available as a Software Development Kit (SDK) or in Docker-based products that can function independently of Paravision’s face-matching technology.
