Neurotechnology and REACT have announced a strategic partnership to launch three new solutions aimed at advancing identity verification and digital payments. The collaboration leverages Neurotechnology’s biometric expertise to enhance security, reduce fraud, and streamline user authentication.
Biometric Integration with MegaMatcher ABIS
At the heart of the partnership is the integration of MegaMatcher ABIS, Neurotechnology’s flagship Automated Biometric Identification System. Capable of processing fingerprint, iris, facial, and voice biometrics, MegaMatcher ABIS is designed to manage large-scale identity databases, supporting both one-to-one authentication and one-to-many identification for populations up to 100 million individuals. The platform’s multimodal design enhances security and accuracy across applications.
Payment Innovation and Privacy Alignment
The partnership arrives amid rising interest in biometric payment systems. According to recent research, only 21 percent of UK consumers currently have access to biometric payment solutions, despite growing demand. By embedding biometric authentication into digital payment workflows, Neurotechnology and REACT aim to close this gap, offering improved convenience and fraud prevention.
The collaboration builds on REACT’s recent improvements to onboarding and verification times. The company previously integrated Regula’s Document Reader SDK to reduce identity verification times to 30 seconds, as reported here. The addition of Neurotechnology’s biometric matching capabilities is expected to further accelerate and strengthen the verification process.
Importantly, the initiative aligns with updated ethical frameworks for identity verification technologies. The partners note that the solutions are being developed in accordance with the Biometrics Institute’s revised Privacy Guidelines, which now explicitly address the role of AI and neurotechnology in digital identity systems.
Advanced Fraud Prevention Tools
The third solution introduced through the partnership focuses on enhanced fraud detection. These new tools use advanced biometric algorithms to verify users and identify anomalies that may signal identity theft or synthetic fraud. The technology is designed to ensure that access to digital services and payment platforms is restricted to verified individuals, protecting sensitive data and financial assets.
The collaboration underscores the growing convergence of biometric technologies and fintech, as identity verification becomes a cornerstone of digital trust. Both companies indicate plans to continue expanding their joint offerings in the coming year.
