ID R&D is one of the more fast-rising AI-focused biometrics startups in the industry right now, and the company wasted no time in deploying an important new hire to this year’s Mobile World Congress. Ilya Ozerets just came to the company in December, when he was appointed as its new Chief Product Officer. That came on the heels of ID R&D’s acceptance into the Microsoft IoT & AI Insider Labs program, and just ahead of the company’s announcement of a new office based in Silicon Valley.
It’s been a busy time for ID R&D, in other words; and this became all the more clear in Ozerets’ discussion with FindBiometrics’ Susan Stover on the MWC show floor this week. The two touched on a number of topics, including ID R&D’s “amazing” year in terms of industry recognition and revenues; its zero-friction speaker recognition technology; and its forthcoming expansion of its technology into far-field use cases.
