With biometric technology being a bigger topic than ever at this year’s Money20/20 Las Vegas, one of the most fascinating panel discussions was focused on one particular biometrics program, albeit a very ambitious one: CLEAR. It started out as a system aimed at using biometric identification to expedite airport screening for members, but has recently expanded into some exciting new areas including venue access and even naked payments. That’s why CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker appeared onstage with Seattle Seahawks VP David Young and Anheuser-Busch innovation director Andrew Green, with both organizations having worked closely – and enthusiastically – with CLEAR on a groundbreaking project in Seattle.
In a brief interview with moderator and FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill after the talk, Seidman Becker explained just what that project entailed, some of the exciting results that are already coming out of the project, and where CLEAR might go next.
