Keyless, a London-based authentication technology specialist, has announced the launch of its new Web SDK capability, extending the company’s biometric authentication technology across mobile and desktop web browsers. The expansion comes following the company’s recent $2 million funding round, which brought their total funding to $10 million.LastPass Rolls Out Passkey Support in Chrome, Offering Passwordless Authentication

The new Web SDK enables seamless cross-channel authentication across applications, browsers, and devices, allowing users to complete both enrollment and authentication within a single browser session. This eliminates the traditional requirement for a second device during the authentication process. The technology supports flexible authentication paths, enabling users to enroll through an app and authenticate via browser, or vice versa.

The launch comes at a time when enterprise adoption of passkey technology is surging, with recent FIDO Alliance reports showing 87 percent adoption rates in US and UK markets. Keyless’s Web SDK specifically addresses several critical use cases, including phishing-resistant payments, enhanced passkey security, and streamlined account recovery processes.

The company’s strong technical foundation is evidenced by its recent performance in the NIST Face Recognition Vendor Test, where it demonstrated robust biometric authentication capabilities. This technical expertise underlies the Web SDK’s ability to ensure that only enrolled users can access their accounts, while maintaining high security standards.

“The Web SDK launch is a major step forward,” said Fabian Eberle, Co-Founder and COO at Keyless. “Users are increasingly demanding flexibility in authentication, but organizations cannot afford to compromise on security. We’re delighted to extend Keyless’ proven in-app security and privacy capabilities to mobile and desktop browser experiences as well.”

The solution integrates with Open ID Connect for authentication through existing Single Sign-On (SSO) pages, effectively eliminating the need for passwords, push notifications, and SMS OTPs. The news aligns with broader industry trends, as FIDO Alliance anticipates significant breakthroughs in banking, payments, and travel sectors throughout 2025.
