IriHealth Showcases AI Iris-Based Health Prescreening Concepts at CES 2026

IriHealth is presenting new AI- and deep learning-based health prescreening concepts at CES 2026, built around iris imaging and pupil reaction analysis and supported by iris capture hardware from IriTech.

IriHealth has developed two application tracks. The first is an iridology-based prescreening system that analyzes iris images and returns a risk-tiered output to guide follow-up evaluation. The initial focus is on colorectal cancer risk, with a roadmap that also includes diabetes and cardiovascular conditions. The second is an AI concept designed to prescreen for potential illegal drug use by analyzing pupil reaction dynamics, which IriHealth links to autonomic nervous system responses described in scientific research.

The company describes both systems as prescreening and risk stratification tools rather than diagnostic systems. It says commercial deployment will follow clinical studies and publication of validated results in accordance with relevant regulatory standards.

IriHealth’s systems use globally certified iris scanners manufactured by IriTech, citing deployment of more than 500,000 units worldwide. The scanners support consistent image acquisition and secure transmission of captured data to a backend AI inference platform.

IriTech’s iris imaging technology has long been used in government identity programs. The company’s IriShield enrollment device has supported large-scale national ID registration projects and was positioned around MOSIP’s standardized biometric interface specifications for enrollment and authentication workflows. IriTech previously highlighted its portable IriSentinel device for achieving MOSIP SBI 2.0 (L1) self-compliance, while IriShield aligned with MOSIP SBI 1.0 (L1), forming a portfolio structured around standardized biometric capture and authentication modules.

IriTech has also sought to extend iris biometrics to consumer and edge applications. In 2019, the company introduced IriKey, a hardware wallet integrating an infrared iris camera for biometric authentication in secure transactions. In 2021, IriTech and Patron Co. announced a biometric module for AR/VR smart glasses combining iris recognition and gaze tracking capabilities.

At CES 2026, IriHealth is demonstrating how those proven iris imaging capabilities can support a medical prescreening framework. The company’s systems analyze iris and pupil-response signals as AI model inputs to produce near real-time prescreening outputs. IriHealth says its goal is scalable, cost-efficient deployment across clinics, rehabilitation centers, and public safety organizations, emphasizing that clinical validation remains a prerequisite for commercialization.
