iProov has launched a new facial biometric authentication solution called iProov Workforce MFA, designed to protect organizations against workforce identity theft through advanced liveness detection technology combined with device binding.
The solution offers a device-independent approach to biometric authentication, addressing growing concerns about sophisticated cyber threats targeting employee credentials. This launch comes amid a reported 2,665 percent surge in native virtual camera attacks in 2024, highlighting the urgent need for more robust authentication methods.
By integrating liveness detection capabilities, the system can verify that the person attempting to authenticate is physically present rather than using a photo, video, or deepfake. the technology builds on iProov’s extensive experience in high-security implementations, including their recent work with the UK Border Force on facial recognition systems at maritime ports.
The company has already demonstrated success in implementing similar technology across various sectors. In late 2024, iProov integrated its biometric authentication platform with Microsoft Entra ID, extending secure identity verification capabilities to over 345 million users worldwide. This integration showcased the scalability and enterprise-readiness of their biometric solutions.
The launch of Workforce MFA is particularly timely as organizations grapple with the challenges of securing remote workforces and protecting against increasingly sophisticated identity theft attempts. The solution’s combination of liveness detection and device binding provides a multi-layered security approach that makes it significantly more difficult for malicious actors to impersonate legitimate employees.
