iProov, a biometric authentication technology provider headquartered in London and Washington, D.C., has appointed Alex Pearson as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and member of the Senior Leadership Team. The move reflects the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the global digital identity and authentication market.
Pearson steps into the role during a period of significant activity for iProov, following partnerships that include a strategic integration with Microsoft Entra. While Entra supports identity services for more than 345 million users worldwide, iProov’s technology is an available option within the platform, rather than being automatically deployed across the entire user base.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Pearson will oversee iProov’s global revenue operations, encompassing sales, marketing, and customer success functions. His background includes senior positions in cybersecurity and digital identity businesses, with experience at Ideagen, Appgate, and DXC Technology. His expertise in building go-to-market strategies and leading sales organizations aligns with iProov’s ambitions to scale its commercial operations in new and existing markets.
iProov specializes in face biometric verification technology with patented liveness assurance techniques designed to distinguish genuine users from presentation attacks such as photos, masks, or deepfakes. The company reports processing millions of verifications daily and counts among its clients the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the UK Home Office, and Singapore’s GovTech.
Market Context and Competitive Landscape
The appointment comes as demand for biometric solutions continues to rise across sectors, driven by heightened cybersecurity needs and evolving digital identity regulations worldwide. iProov’s technology has been adopted in applications such as mobile login systems for government services. For instance, its face verification solution has been integrated into the NHS Login system in the UK for both iOS and Android devices – a deployment that began in 2020 and remains in active use.
Competition in the biometric authentication market has also spurred similar leadership changes at other vendors. Rivals have announced new Chief Revenue Officers in recent months, highlighting an industry-wide focus on scaling commercial operations as governments and enterprises increase investments in secure digital identity systems.
