Indian identity verification and regulatory technology company IDfy secured INR 476 crore, approximately $52 million, to expand regtech and digital trust operations across identity verification, KYC, and fraud and compliance infrastructure for regulated institutions.
The funding round included participation from Neo Asset Management and existing investors, according to reporting by The Economic Times. The capital will support growth in identity verification, know-your-customer processes, and fraud prevention services for financial services and other regulated sectors.
The funding follows IDfy’s SOC 2 Type II certification in March 2025, demonstrating operational maturity and data security controls increasingly required by enterprise customers in regulated industries.
The round reflects momentum in the growing Indian identity verification market, following Equal’s $10 million Series A in November 2024 at an $80 million valuation. IDfy’s growth aligns with broader digital KYC infrastructure adoption across India’s financial sector, including India Post’s launch of Aadhaar-based digital KYC for savings accounts in January 2025.
The competitive landscape includes international firms launching Aadhaar-integrated verification platforms to serve the Indian market, where Aadhaar’s biometric database underpins digital identity infrastructure for financial services, telecommunications, and government programs.
IDfy provides identity verification, background screening, and compliance services including document verification, video KYC, biometric authentication, and fraud detection for banks, fintech companies, and other regulated entities operating in India.
The company serves clients across banking, financial services, ride-sharing, e-commerce, and other sectors requiring identity verification and regulatory compliance capabilities.
