America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Institute & Expo 2018 is slated for next week, and ImageWare is going to take the opportunity to showcase its Pillphone and GoVerifyID solutions.
The product of a partnership with American Biometric Solutions at the start of last year, Pillphone (stylized “pillphone”) is a mobile app designed to connect healthcare practitioners with patients via mobile device, and to provide medication reminders. It’s the only such app to have received FDA approval, and it also uses fingerprint authentication to help ensure that the medical information therein is kept secure.
In a statement announcing ImageWare’s plans for AHIP Institute & Expo 2018, Dr. Michael Welch, co-director of the Allergy and Asthma Medical Group and Research Center in San Diego and Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, attested to the app’s efficacy. “Our patients have attested that the pillphone helps them to adhere to their medication regimens and enhances their relationship with their doctors,” he said.
GoVerifyID, meanwhile, is ImageWare’s flagship solution, a multimodal biometric authentication platform aimed at enterprise applications. At AHIP 2018, ImageWare will highlight the platform’s capacity to bring biometric security to clinical, EHR, and e-prescription systems, among other healthcare applications.
AHIP 2018 will run from June 20th to 22nd at the San Diego Convention Center, with ImageWare slated to showcase its solution from booth 433.
