Identy.io has announced its Face SDK v6.3.0 achieved a perfect score in iBeta’s rigorous ISO/IEC 30107-3 Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) compliance test.
The certification was conducted by iBeta Quality Assurance, an independent, NVLAP-accredited lab. The technology was subjected to a Level 2 test effort, which involved 1,500 sophisticated presentation attacks. These spoofing attempts used artifacts including silicone masks, 3D-printed faces, latex masks, and AI-generated deepfakes.
Identy.io’s technology successfully stopped 100 percent of these attacks, achieving a 0 percent Attack Presentation Classification Error Rate (APCER). Furthermore, the solution demonstrated high usability, with a near-zero Bona Fide Presentation Classification Error Rate (BPCER) of just 1 rejection in 550 genuine user tests.
This development comes as the face liveness market is “booming,” with transactions projected to exceed 50 billion annually by 2027. In this crowded and high-stakes environment, where deepfake threats are rising, proprietary vendor claims are becoming insufficient. Verifiable, third-party certification against international standards like ISO 30107-3 is emerging as the primary competitive differentiator and the new standard for establishing trust.
Identy.io claims its perfect score makes it the “only mobile biometric vendor certified to that level offering both server-based and full on-device liveness detection and processing.” This certification for both architectures targets a key industry debate, positioning the company as a flexible solution that can meet demands for either the high speed and privacy of on-device processing or the raw power of server-side AI models.
