AuthMind Inc., a cybersecurity firm headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, has raised $19.3 million in seed funding to support the expansion of its identity protection platform. The round was led by Cheyenne Ventures, with additional participation from Black Opal Ventures, K2 Access Fund, IBM, Ballistic Ventures, Blu Venture Investors, the Jefferies Family Office, and Silver Buckshot Ventures.
Founded by cybersecurity veteran Shlomi Yanai, formerly of CYREN and Datablink, AuthMind has developed an observability-based platform designed to secure all identity types—human users, service accounts, machine identities, and AI agents—across on-premises, hybrid, cloud, and SaaS environments. The technology enables real-time threat detection and identity security posture management, helping organizations defend against stealthy, identity-based intrusions, including those attributed to advanced threat groups like Volt Typhoon.
The new funding will be used to grow the company’s go-to-market operations and accelerate product development, with an emphasis on expanding integration capabilities across complex enterprise ecosystems. AuthMind also plans to expand its U.S.-based team, currently at around 40 employees, by hiring at least 10 new staff members in areas such as product management and marketing.
AuthMind’s platform stands out for its patented continuous identity access flow mapping (U.S. Patent 11,895,144 B2), which powers its ability to detect identity blind spots—including shadow assets, missing multi-factor authentication (MFA), unauthorized SaaS usage, and privileged access circumvention. The platform is designed for rapid deployment, with full enterprise rollouts achievable in minutes.
AuthMind has attracted clients among Fortune 100 companies and leading firms in insurance and finance, underlining the critical demand for more robust identity threat detection solutions. The company maintains its engineering operations in Pune, India, while its headquarters and go-to-market team are based in Bethesda.
Its industry credibility has been bolstered by recognition as a Gartner Cool Vendor in Identity-First Security in 2022 and a recent win at the 2025 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards in the Identity Threat Detection and Response category.
