iDenfy has partnered with Urjanet in an effort to increase the appeal of its remote onboarding and identity verification platform. Urjanet’s platform consolidates and analyzes utility bill data from a network of more than 9,000 utility providers, and uses that information to help confirm someone’s identity during the verification process.
The new partnership will allow iDenfy’s clients to take advantage of the Urjanet service, and provide them with greater assurances about their customers. When someone tries to open an account, Urjanet will cross reference their personal information with their utility records to ensure that the person is indeed who they claim to be.
The Urjanet network covers electric, natural gas, and water providers, in addition to waste management companies. iDenfy’s platform, on the other hand, uses face and document recognition to match a customer’s face to the image on a photo ID. The solution allows businesses to register new customers remotely.
“We are pleased to be teaming up with iDenfy for fraud prevention,” said Urjanet CEO Sanjoy Malik. “Simplifying the process of identity verification is a considerable goal and we are glad they chose us as their partners to see this vision through.”
“It’s a great pleasure having Urjanet on our team,” added iDenfy CEO Domantas Ciulde. “The partnership will allow us to offer our clients an additional service, improving the overall integrity of ID verification. We look forward to working together with Urjanet in the years to follow.”
iDenfy reached out to Urjanet to secure the partnership. The company previously teamed up with Authologic to develop a more advanced API for ID verification, and it has since launched a new proxy detection system that checks IP addresses during a transaction. iDenfy has provided identity verification services for several clients in the past few months, with a roster of recent clients that includes Triall and Pure M Global.
