ID Dataweb Integrates With Microsoft Entra Verified ID

Identity verification provider ID Dataweb has announced an integration with Microsoft Entra Verified ID, aimed at strengthening digital identity assurance for enterprises that rely on Microsoft’s identity platform. The partnership allows organizations using Entra to call ID Dataweb’s risk and attribute checks when issuing or consuming verifiable credentials, adding additional fraud controls to Entra’s decentralized identity framework.

According to the companies, ID Dataweb can evaluate signals such as device reputation, identity document verification, and third-party risk data in real time, feeding those results into Entra’s policy engine. That enables scenarios where higher-risk requests trigger more rigorous checks before a credential is issued, or where certain attributes must be re-verified on a periodic basis.

For security teams that are experimenting with verifiable credentials but still need to meet regulatory KYC and anti-fraud requirements, the integration offers a way to leverage existing assurance services inside a standards-based wallet and credential ecosystem. It also illustrates how decentralized identity projects are beginning to plug into traditional identity proofing and fraud-risk services, rather than operating as standalone experiments.

The move lines up with Microsoft’s broader security enhancements to its Entra platform, which has increasingly emphasized passwordless authentication and conditional access policies to protect enterprise environments.
