Hancom Auth v1.1 Earns Grade 1 “Good Software” Certification in Korea

Hancom Auth v1.1, powered by Facephi’s facial recognition technology, has been awarded Grade 1 “Good Software” (GS) certification by Korea’s Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA). The certification positions the solution for public-sector procurement and deployment across the country.

Public-Sector Validation

The GS program, overseen by the TTA, is aligned with ISO/IEC 25023, 25051, and 25041 standards. Grade 1 certification represents the highest quality level and is widely required for government contracts in South Korea. By achieving this benchmark, Hancom Auth v1.1 gains a critical foothold for use in public projects.

According to the announcement, the latest version integrates Facephi’s facial recognition system with passive liveness detection, as well as an “Advanced Injection Defense” layer. These capabilities are designed to prevent attacks using images, videos, or deepfakes without requiring additional user interaction.

Product Evolution

This is the second consecutive GS Grade 1 recognition for Hancom Auth. The product’s earlier version, v1.0, received the same certification in August 2025. The new award indicates iterative improvements, particularly in areas related to spoof resistance and injection defense, while demonstrating sustained compliance with TTA testing.

The certification also follows Hancom’s investment in Facephi, which granted the Korean company exclusive rights to distribute Facephi’s technologies in the Asia-Pacific region.
