Peter O’Neill, President of FindBiometrics, had a chance to speak with David Pollington, Head of Application Services and Technology at GSMA, about the growth MWC has experienced over the years. After speaking about the innovative technology on display in Barcelona, Pollington gave an update on the Mobile Connect initiative, which is seeing massive global adoption. Finally, the conversation turned to the biometric technologies proliferating the show, and how 2018 is the first year that Mobile World Congress has deployed facial recognition for convenient and secure access control.
