TRUSTECH 2021 has started welcoming guests to Paris. The conference is set to run from November 30 to December 2 at Pavilion 5.2 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
The organizers are expecting to draw roughly 6,000 guests over the course of the three-day event. Those interested in joining that number can register for a badge for free at the TRUSTECH website. The conference itself will focus primarily on the identity and financial sectors, with programming divided into three official content tracks: Identity for Society and Economy, Security and Risk Strategy, and Payment and Finance.
According to the TRUSTECH organizers, those three tracks represent the main challenges that governments and businesses will face as they transition to an increasingly digital environment. The Identity for Society and Economy track will discuss the evolving nature of identity documents, and the potential use cases for digital identity documents relative to physical ones. It will also address the ways in which digital authentication technologies (including biometric technologies) can be used to verify people’s real-world identities.
The Security and Risk Strategy track similarly touches on digital identity, but does so with a greater emphasis on access control. Data analytics allows organizations gauge the risk level during an interaction, and makes it easier to distinguish the behaviors of legitimate users from those of cybercriminals.
Finally, the Payment and Finance track looks at some of the new payment technologies that have emerged in the past few years. In that regard, TRUSTECH will specifically highlight P2P transfers, and the importance of biometric authentication when securing remote and in-person transactions.
Aratek and Panini have both promised to exhibit new solutions during the event. Aratek is showcasing a new Marshall tablet, while Panini is unveilig a new biometric authentication solution for the financial sector.
