FIDO Alliance Brings Authenticate Conference to Asia-Pacific With Singapore Event Focused on Passkeys and Digital Credentials

The FIDO Alliance is expanding its flagship Authenticate conference series to the Asia-Pacific region with Authenticate APAC 2026, a two-day event in Singapore dedicated to phishing-resistant authentication and digital identity. The conference will be held June 2 to 3, 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, followed by a FIDO Member Plenary from June 4 to 5 at the same venue.

In its announcement, FIDO positions Authenticate APAC as the first regional edition of what it calls the industry’s only conference focused specifically on digital identity and phishing-resistant authentication. The event is intended to build on the momentum of previous FIDO APAC Summits and respond to growing demand from governments and enterprises in the region that are rolling out passkeys and exploring verifiable digital credentials.

The conference will target CISOs, security strategists, product leaders, and identity architects responsible for authentication roadmaps. FIDO says the agenda will emphasize real-world deployment experience with passkeys, interoperability across platforms and devices, and integration of FIDO-based sign-ins into broader identity and access management (IAM) lifecycles. Sessions are expected to cover topics like enterprise passkey rollouts, government digital ID initiatives, and emerging patterns for combining passkeys with verifiable digital credentials to support high-assurance use cases without reverting to passwords or SMS OTPs.

For vendors, FIDO is offering a range of sponsorship packages tied to expo-hall presence and branding opportunities. The event will feature an exhibition area where authentication and identity-security providers can meet potential customers looking for partners on their path to passwordless authentication. A detailed sponsorship prospectus has been published alongside the launch. Registration for attendees will open later, with FIDO encouraging interested participants to sign up for updates via the Authenticate website and its newsletter.

From an identity-engineering standpoint, Authenticate APAC 2026 signals both commercial and policy momentum around FIDO-based authentication in the region. Governments across APAC are experimenting with national digital ID programs and digital public infrastructure that increasingly reference FIDO standards, while large consumer platforms roll out passkeys at scale. A dedicated regional Authenticate event creates a focal point for aligning public- and private-sector practices, comparing implementation patterns, and addressing open questions around user experience, recovery, device binding, and coexistence with legacy IAM stacks.
