Faction Networks and iVALT Pair Zero-Trust Networking With Human Identity Verification

Faction Networks and iVALT have partnered to pair zero-trust networking with passwordless human identity verification, aiming to tie both network activity and the actions of AI agents back to an accountable, verified person. The integration builds iVALT’s Digital Trust platform into Faction’s owner-controlled zero-trust architecture, in which encryption keys and trust sit with the customer rather than a vendor.

The companies frame the work around a gap that network controls alone do not close. Even where zero trust establishes that an approved device has connected, credentials can be phished, session tokens hijacked, and verification defeated by deepfakes. As organizations hand more operational work to AI agents, the companies argue, the relevant question becomes who or what is acting and which human is accountable for it.

The integration targets that question in two ways. For what the companies call human-in-the-loop, iVALT’s passwordless biometric and five-factor verification is used to step up to a verified, present human at moments that carry real risk, confirming that a responsible person approved a privileged or irreversible action. For AI agents, iVALT’s PKI is used to give each agent a cryptographically verifiable identity derived from a human sponsor, so its actions are bounded and auditable against the person who authorized them. The verification runs inside the Faction network rather than through a cloud authentication broker, so authentication traffic does not traverse the public internet.

“Traditional security focuses on the connection. Together, Faction and iVALT secure the trust behind it,” said Baldev Krishan, President and CEO of iVALT. The pairing lands amid a broader push to give automated systems verifiable identities, as seen in a recent wave of AI agent identity tooling from CrowdStrike, SailPoint, Beyond Identity, Akamai, and Saviynt.

The companies say initial integration is complete and the combined product is in joint development, with commercial availability expected in the third quarter of this year.
