FaceTec has appointed Cameron D’Ambrosi as Head of Strategic Partnerships for North America and the European Union, expanding its executive team as the company pursues wider deployments of its 3D face verification and liveness technology.
D’Ambrosi is widely recognized in the digital identity sector as a co-founder of Liminal and as the creator and host of the State of Identity podcast. FaceTec describes the new position as a partnerships-driven role spanning both private-sector integrations and public-sector identity programs.
Partnership Focus on Enterprise Integrations and Legal Identity Issuers
According to FaceTec, D’Ambrosi will facilitate and oversee deployments with major enterprise partners and public-sector legal identity issuers, while also supporting education initiatives on the role of 3D liveness detection in countering sophisticated fraud. FaceTec CEO Kevin Alan Tussy said the appointment is intended to translate market insight into commercial execution. “Cameron’s insight from his years of inside experience in the digital identity market will help us deliver the most value to the growing global market,” said Tussy. “He will provide guidance and education about FaceTec’s broad applications and the benefits of our 3D Liveness and 3D Face Matching software.”
In a statement, D’Ambrosi emphasized the connection between biometric assurance and emerging fraud dynamics. “As we continue to grapple with the impact of surging AI fraud, and the looming adoption of AI agents on all facets of the global economy, FaceTec’s focus on verifying the right human behind every transaction is more vital than ever,” he said. He added that the company’s approach to binding legal identity to legitimate account holders is designed to strengthen fraud prevention while preserving user privacy across devices.
Advancing Tech and Rigorous Testing
The appointment follows several recent developments at FaceTec, including the company’s completion of independent Level 1 through Level 5 liveness and injection-attack testing, which validated its resilience against presentation and camera bypass threats.
FaceTec has also advanced deployment of its UR Codes technology in pilot programs with state DMVs, while expanding commercial use cases such as fraud reduction in online verification and dating platforms. Recent product releases, including Version 10 of its software suite, introduced enhancements to its 3D Liveness and matching capabilities for both regulated and consumer applications.
With the new partnerships role, the company is showing a strengthening focus on scaled deployments through ecosystem integrations, particularly across regulated enterprise sectors and government-backed identity programs.
