Spanish biometric technology company Facephi has launched its suite of AI-powered biometric identity verification and fraud prevention services on AWS Marketplace. The launch makes it easier for global organizations to integrate Facephi’s technology via their existing Amazon Web Services infrastructure, simplifying procurement processes while offering the flexibility to scale identity verification operations without managing on-premise systems.
The AWS deployment features a full set of tools for onboarding, authentication, and fraud mitigation. Facephi’s onboarding solution combines facial biometrics, liveness detection, and document validation to automate identity verification while ensuring compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. For authentication, the company offers a passwordless login system built on facial recognition, a solution already deployed in use cases such as Korean P2P lending platforms where regulatory compliance and security are critical.
Facephi’s expansion onto AWS comes amid a period of strong technical validation. The company recently achieved high accuracy scores in NIST testing and reported a 99.8 percent accuracy rate in Department of Homeland Security tests for its face liveness detection technology. These benchmarks have helped position Facephi as a leading vendor in biometric verification at a time when demand for high-assurance identity systems is rising.
The move reflects a broader trend in the industry, where digital identity vendors are increasingly offering their services via cloud platforms. Competitors such as IDVerse and Daon have also launched identity verification tools on AWS Marketplace in recent months. These developments underscore the growing enterprise demand for scalable, cloud-native identity solutions that are both easy to deploy and compliant with international regulations.
Facephi’s Marketplace offering arrives as organizations across industries face escalating threats from advanced fraud tactics, including the use of deepfakes and synthetic identities. To help address these challenges, the company recently introduced an AI platform designed to detect money mule activity in the banking sector, showing Facephi’s strategic investment in fraud prevention technologies tailored to emerging risks in financial services.
By integrating Facephi’s biometric services through AWS Marketplace, organizations can streamline the implementation of secure onboarding and authentication workflows while eliminating the overhead of maintaining physical infrastructure. The cloud-native model also enables dynamic scaling and centralized billing, supporting enterprise compliance requirements in a cost-effective, flexible format.
