Experian has announced a new partnership with Incode Technologies to expand the fraud prevention capabilities of its Ascend Platform. The collaboration will integrate Incode’s AI-driven identity verification tools into Experian’s CrossCore Document Verification suite in North America, with plans for global deployment. The enhancement is aimed at strengthening protections for Experian’s 1,800-plus global clients across financial services, healthcare, automotive, and digital marketing.
Expanding Fraud Prevention Capabilities
Through the agreement, Incode’s platform will provide multi-layered identity verification combining government ID validation, facial recognition, liveness detection, and metadata analysis. By embedding these capabilities into Experian’s infrastructure, the companies aim to help clients combat synthetic identity creation and application fraud while maintaining a smooth onboarding process for legitimate customers.
“This partnership reinforces Experian’s commitment to delivering innovative, secure, and customer-centric solutions,” said Marika Vilen, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships and Commercialization at Experian. “By integrating Incode’s cutting-edge identity verification technology into the Ascend Platform, we’re empowering organizations to make faster, smarter decisions while tailoring their fraud and risk strategies with unprecedented agility and precision.”
Industry Context and Acquisition Strategy
The deal follows Incode’s acquisition of AuthenticID, announced last week – a move designed to broaden its expertise in large-scale enterprise deployments and strengthen defenses against AI-driven fraud. Incode said the acquisition will accelerate its growth trajectory while improving its ability to counter emerging threats such as deepfake-based identity fraud.
The timing of the Experian-Incode partnership highlights growing pressure on enterprises to adapt to new fraud risks fueled by generative AI. Consolidation among technology providers is seen as a way to pool resources, improve accuracy, and expand the range of solutions available to clients facing increasingly sophisticated attacks.
Industry analysts have projected strong growth in the identity verification and biometric security markets as financial institutions and enterprises accelerate their adoption of AI-based solutions. By combining Experian’s global reach with Incode’s AI-driven tools, the companies say they are positioned to provide a more resilient and scalable approach to fraud prevention worldwide.
