Evrotrust has partnered with fraud intelligence provider Trustfull to combine digital identity verification with risk screening across European onboarding and customer authentication workflows.
The partnership brings together Evrotrust’s identity and electronic trust services with Trustfull’s analysis of digital signals, including phone numbers, email addresses and IP addresses. The companies are targeting regulated businesses and cross-border services, with financial services, lending, payments, telecommunications and the public sector among their intended markets.
Trustfull’s screening can identify indicators such as disposable contact details, proxy connections and inconsistencies between customer attributes. Those signals give businesses information to assess before requesting identity documents or completing other know-your-customer checks. The companies also envisage using risk intelligence during verification and after onboarding, rather than restricting it to a single registration decision.
Businesses will be able to combine the services within existing onboarding and fraud-management workflows. The partners plan joint commercial activity in Europe, where Evrotrust supplies identity verification and qualified electronic trust services.
For Evrotrust, the agreement adds another partner alongside its qualified electronic signature integration with Shufti. That arrangement connects identity verification to a signing process in which Evrotrust issues a one-time signing certificate. The workflow lets a business identify a customer and then obtain a qualified signature as part of the same digital journey.
Qualified electronic signatures have the legal effect of handwritten signatures under the EU’s eIDAS framework. Fraud screening serves a different function: evaluating whether the circumstances surrounding an interaction warrant additional checks. The Trustfull partnership places that assessment alongside the identity and signing services businesses use to complete regulated transactions.
Evrotrust’s European expansion has also included a €6.6 million funding round led by 3TS Capital Partners, supporting growth in Central and Eastern Europe and Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the German-speaking DACH markets. Those markets are part of the wider regional opportunity for remote identification and electronic trust services.
Evrotrust says it serves more than 300 organizations and has over 1.8 million registered users. The new partnership is aimed at customers that need both an identity check and a way to assess fraud indicators around the transaction, including before the formal verification process begins.
