EnGenius to Showcase Unified AI Surveillance and Facial Recognition Platform in Japan

EnGenius Networks Japan will showcase an AI-ready networking and surveillance platform at Interop Tokyo 2026, combining cloud-managed network infrastructure with video analytics and AI camera functions. The company is presenting the platform under the theme “AI that Sees. Networks that Think. One Unified Platform.”

The planned demonstration includes AI camera capabilities such as facial recognition, cross-camera tracking, visual timeline search, and natural-language video search. EnGenius says the system includes cross-angle matching, allowing the same person to be identified across cameras from a single frontal reference image even when cameras are positioned at elevated angles.

The company will also demonstrate real-time alerting features, including surrender-pose detection for monitored spaces such as retail floors and public-facing areas. Event alerts can trigger connected responses through webhooks, including lights, alarms, SMS notifications, Slack notifications, or other third-party workflows.

The surveillance functions are being shown alongside EnGenius networking products, including Layer 3 switching, high-performance wireless networking, VPN firewalls, access points, cameras, and recorders. The company says these components can be managed under a single cloud account to reduce separate management workflows for networking and video systems.

EnGenius is also using the Tokyo event to highlight partner integrations for the Japanese market, including secure remote access, industrial AI deployment, and cloud networking support. The company says the platform is intended for organizations managing distributed locations that need both network visibility and video-based security monitoring.

The product framing puts facial recognition and video analytics inside a broader managed networking environment, while Japan has also seen biometric systems move into transportation settings such as facial recognition gates at JR East train stations. Facility operators using the platform would manage cameras, recording, network devices, and automated alerts through the same cloud account, rather than maintaining separate tools for surveillance and network administration. That consolidation is the core product claim EnGenius is taking to Interop Tokyo.

Because the functions are being presented as part of an integrated networking and surveillance stack, the product is aimed at sites that already need managed connectivity as well as video monitoring. The facial recognition and cross-camera search features are therefore being positioned as operational tools within a broader site-management platform.
