Fingerprint Cards (FPC) says Elementik Technologies has moved its ByteSeal biometric credential vault from the FPC BM-Lite module to the newer FPC AllKey platform, marking a hardware upgrade for the credit-card-sized authentication device.
ByteSeal is a portable hardware credential vault that protects passwords, passkeys, payment tokens, and digital keys behind on-device fingerprint authentication. The device stores credentials locally and uses biometric matching to authorize access, with no cloud connectivity required for authentication. The shift to FPC AllKey brings what the companies describe as improved processing performance and a smaller form factor compared to the previous BM-Lite generation.
FPC AllKey is a biometric platform designed for embedded authentication in compact hardware. It combines a fingerprint sensor, secure element, and matching algorithm in a single module, targeting applications where space, power, and security constraints intersect, including hardware wallets, smart cards, and physical access tokens.
Elementik, based in India, originally built ByteSeal on FPC’s BM-Lite biometric module, which has been integrated into a range of IoT and authentication products since its launch. The migration to AllKey reflects FPC’s broader push to consolidate its embedded biometric offerings under a more capable platform architecture.
The ByteSeal device targets enterprise users, cryptocurrency holders, and individuals managing multiple digital credentials who want hardware-level protection without relying on cloud-based password managers. Fingerprint authentication occurs entirely on the device, with biometric templates stored in the secure element and never transmitted externally.
FPC has been expanding its embedded biometric portfolio across several product categories. The company’s modules are deployed in smart door locks, biometric payment cards through its collaboration with Infineon, and authentication hardware from multiple vendors.
The latest ByteSeal generation is available for order, with Elementik targeting enterprise and consumer security markets in India and internationally.
