eConnect’s Facial Recognition Tech Achieves Genetec Security Integration

eConnect, a provider of AI-powered facial recognition technology, has achieved official certification for integration with Genetec’s unified security platform, Security Center. The certification confirms full compatibility between eConnect’s facial recognition suite and Genetec’s video surveillance and access control infrastructure, offering real-time biometric identification capabilities for businesses in gaming, hospitality, retail, and other high-security environments.

The integration leverages Genetec’s Software Development Kit (SDK), allowing eConnect’s AI engine to interface directly with Security Center for functionalities such as live video overlays, real-time facial match alerts, and event-driven metadata tagging. The features are designed to enable seamless identification and response workflows across surveillance and access control systems, reducing latency and operational complexity.

This development follows eConnect’s earlier integration with Dallmeier’s Video Management System, and continues the company’s strategic expansion across major security platforms. Compared to the Dallmeier partnership, the Genetec integration brings broader ecosystem exposure, as Genetec maintains partnerships with over 180 technology vendors worldwide and is widely used in large-scale security deployments.

The integration is designed to support real-time fraud detection, facial identification of persons of interest, and enhanced guest experiences, particularly in gaming venues where biometric alerts can flag VIPs or self-excluded individuals. In retail environments, the solution can assist with loss prevention by identifying known offenders or streamlining secure staff access.

Notably, both Genetec and eConnect have publicly affirmed their commitment to privacy-by-design principles. The integrated system offers configuration options to comply with regional regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, including local processing, consent-based enrollment, and audit-ready event logging. This is especially critical as public scrutiny intensifies around the ethical use of facial recognition technologies.

The integration will help to position eConnect competitively among facial recognition providers in Genetec’s ecosystem, which includes firms like SAFR by RealNetworks and BriefCam. As demand for AI-enabled surveillance grows, such partnerships help solution providers differentiate themselves on reliability, performance, and ecosystem reach.
