Identity Week Europe 2025 has announced its speaker lineup for a major session on digital wallets, featuring industry leaders from finance, telecommunications, and government sectors. The two-day conference, scheduled for June 17-18 in Amsterdam, will explore how digital wallet technologies are reshaping identity management and transactions across multiple industries.
The digital wallets session brings together executives from prominent European institutions, including Patrick Agopian from Credit Agricole, Haraldur Bjarnason of Audkenni, and Christina Hirsch, EVP of Digital Trust Business at Swisscom. Notably, Swisscom has been a key player in digital identity solutions since at least 2019, when the firm partnered with Signicat to enhance their electronic signature capabilities.
German digital identity experts will also share their insights, with Mirko Mollik, Identity Architect for the German EUDI Wallet at SPRIN-D, and Christian Lange-Hausstein, Head of Legal – EUDI Wallet Implementation at German Savings Banks Association, joining the panel.
The conference comes at a crucial time as industries adapt to the growing importance of digital wallets in everyday transactions and identity verification. The session will examine how these technologies are being implemented across different sectors and their potential impact on future identity management systems.
Identity Week Europe has been expanding its focus beyond technical innovations to include broader industry initiatives. Earlier this year, the organization released its first Transformative Women Inclusion Report, demonstrating its commitment to promoting diversity in the technology sector.
The event organizers are currently offering early bird registration with an €800 discount to encourage participation from a diverse range of industry professionals. The conference will also feature additional sessions covering biometrics, secure documentation, and other aspects of digital identity management.
