Digital Domain Content and TOPPAN Holdings have announced a strategic partnership to develop create virtual human avatars using high-resolution biometric data capture technology. The collaboration aims to address global labor shortages and enhance service experiences across multiple industries through the creation of photorealistic virtual humans.
The partnership will combine TOPPAN Holdings’ Light Stage scanning technologies with Digital Domain’s virtual human development expertise. High-resolution biometric data will be captured at TOPPAN’s VIRTUAL HUMAN LAB facility and integrated into Digital Domain’s Momentum Cloud platform for creating and operating lifelike virtual humans.

Their goal is to launch a comprehensive virtual human solution business by the end of fiscal 2025, leveraging Digital Domain’s Momentum Cloud platform for global market deployment.
