Datavault AI Inc., a technology company specializing in digital identity and data monetization solutions, has joined the White House Experience Advisory Council and introduced its VerifyU platform, connecting civic memory initiatives with blockchain-based credentialing technologies.
The White House Historical Association established the Experience Advisory Council to enhance how the Executive Mansion preserves and shares American history. Though affiliated with the White House, the council operates as a private philanthropic body and is not an official U.S. government board. Datavault AI joins a group of government, education, and technology leaders contributing expertise to expand historical engagement and public education initiatives related to the White House and its legacy.
At the Council’s inaugural meeting in Washington, D.C., Datavault AI CFO Brett Moyer and CMO Sonia Choi met with representatives from Congress, the Corporate Leaders Council, and other institutional partners to explore how advanced technologies could support new ways of presenting and preserving historical narratives.
VerifyU Aims to Blend Digital Identity and Civic Memory
In parallel with its council involvement, Datavault AI recently demonstrated its VerifyU technology at the Cowboys Gathering, an invitation-only NFL alumni reunion held in Addison, Texas. VerifyU is a blockchain-based credentialing platform initially launched in 2024 for real-time academic records verification. At the Cowboys Gathering, Datavault showcased how the system could handle athlete name, image, and likeness (NIL) credentials, illustrating broader applications beyond education.
Company materials describe VerifyU as a platform that “connects civic memory with digital identity verification,” highlighting its potential for linking personal identities with historic records or commemorative content. While these claims remain largely based on Datavault’s own marketing narratives, they reflect a wider trend of integrating blockchain technology into digital identity solutions across industries.
The rise of digital identity initiatives globally underscores VerifyU’s relevance. For example, UK Companies House recently implemented digital verification systems to enhance corporate transparency, and the United States passed the Digital Identity Act of 2025 in March to establish national standards for secure digital credentials. In Europe, the forthcoming eIDAS 2 digital wallet framework similarly pushes for interoperable digital identities across member states.
Expanding Partnerships and Industry Engagement
Datavault AI also presented its solutions at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference, partnering with CompuSystems to demonstrate potential applications for digital identity technology in the library and information sciences sector. This collaboration reflects broader momentum in deploying digital identity tools across varied professional domains, from public institutions to commercial enterprises.
Datavault AI, formerly known as WiSA Technologies, rebranded and adopted the DVLT ticker following an asset acquisition in December 2024. The company positions itself at the intersection of data monetization and identity verification, though independent adoption metrics for VerifyU have not yet been publicly disclosed, and no third-party security audits have been announced.
