Credence ID Achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification

Credence ID has announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, confirming that its organization-wide Information Security Management System (ISMS) meets the latest international standards. The company said the certification validates its security controls, risk management, and continuous-improvement processes across people, technology, and operations.

Independent Validation of Security Practices

The certification was awarded by an independent third-party auditor and covers the entire organization, rather than a specific product. It verifies that Credence ID’s ISMS is structured to protect customer information with confidentiality, integrity, and availability controls, while embedding practices for ongoing improvement.

“Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification isn’t just about checking a box; it’s an independent validation of our deep-rooted commitment to security… that our entire organization is structured to protect information with the highest level of integrity and care,” said Bruce Hanson, CEO of Credence ID.

The 2022 Standard and Industry Context

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the current version of the globally recognized information security framework, with a transition deadline of October 31, 2025, for organizations still certified under the 2013 edition. The revision consolidates 114 controls into 93, grouped under four themes—Organizational, People, Physical, and Technological—and introduces 11 new controls focused on areas such as cloud services, secure coding, and threat intelligence.

For identity technology providers, the certification is increasingly a baseline requirement in government and enterprise procurement. Its emphasis on modern security domains is particularly relevant to mobile ID ecosystems, cloud verification platforms, and device management—the environments where Credence ID delivers solutions.

The certification milestone follows a period of continued expansion for Credence ID, including partnerships with Veridos on all-in-one verification solutions, support for U.S. state mobile IDs, and new intellectual property awards.
