“…it’s an important event at which to showcase the kind of biometric solutions that are starting to gain traction in venue access and security.”
BioSec and Fujitsu are showing off their joint solution for stadium security at a Arena Summit 2018 this week.
As its name suggests, the Arena Summit is an industry event revolving around stadiums and arenas, with a range of stakeholders to attend, spanning venue management, entertainment, infrastructure, marketing, and so on. As such, it’s an important event at which to showcase the kind of biometric solutions that are starting to gain traction in venue access and security.
Fujitsu and BioSec announced their collaboration on biometric venue access control in the summer of last year. Their StadiumGuard solution uses contactless palm vein scanners, allowing registered individuals to gain entry into large-scale venues with the wave of a hand.
In announcing their joint attendance at Arena Summit 2018, BioSec and Fujitsu highlighted their solution’s utility in replacing physical tickets and as a security measure, asserting that “StadiumGuard is the last brick in the line of technologies in order to be able to create really 100% personalised tickets, keeping banned people outside the stadium during their banishment.”
Arena Summit 2018 runs from November 20th to 21st in Frankfurt.
