Precise Biometrics will be providing biometric access control for Exeger. Exeger is a Swedish company that develops Powerfoyle printable solar cells, and will be deploying the Precise YOUNiQ platform to secure its offices and other facilities with facial recognition.
The installment will make Exeger the first company to adopt YOUNiQ as a physical access control solution. Precise first unveiled YOUNiQ in early 2019 in an effort to diversify its portfolio beyond fingerprint recognition, and then spent much of the past year preparing for an eventual commercial launch. For example, the company introduced passive liveness detection and licensed facial recognition tech from Innovatrics after revealing that YOUNiQ would initially be used for access control applications.
The partnership with Exeger is the result of those efforts, and suggests that Precise’s YOUNiQ plans are proceeding on schedule. The platform was expected to enter the commercialization phase in early 2020.
“I’m impressed with Precise and the solution they are offering,” said Exeger CEO Giovanni Fili.
“We now will be able to skip tags and keys and replace it with a more convenient process to make sure that the people in the building are the ones that should have access.”
Exeger will install YOUNiQ with the help of NVSS Security in March of 2020. YOUNiQ will be integrated with Exeger’s existing access control system to enable face-based authentication.
